On the afternoon of September 24, 2025, a delegation of four from Guilford College in the United States, led by Ms. Sarah M. T. Munro, Chief International Officer, visited Nanjing Institute of Technology. Pu Lijie, Deputy Chair of the University Council, warmly welcomed the guests and held talks with them on topics including potential cooperation and exchange programs.
During the meeting, Pu Lijie extended a warm welcome to the delegation and provided a comprehensive introduction to NJIT’s history, developmental strengths, disciplinary advantages, and achievements in international cooperation. He emphasized that the university has been consistently deepening its internationalization strategy in recent years, having established stable partnerships with numerous overseas institutions and achieving notable progress in areas such as joint talent cultivation and academic exchanges. Ms. Munro, in turn, introduced the overall educational profile of Guilford College, highlighting its distinctive strengths in interdisciplinary education and its deeply integrated system of teaching, research, and practice. Both parties reached a preliminary consensus on signing a Memorandum of Understanding and expressed their commitment to using this visit as a starting point to further expand the scope and depth of faculty-student exchanges and research collaboration, jointly advancing high-level and substantive international cooperation.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges and the School of Management Engineering.
