主讲嘉宾简介

Satu Pitkäaho, Adjunct Professor, D.Sc.(Tech.), Oulu School EE Bachelor Programme Director, University Lecturer. She has research expertise in the environmental engineering – especially in heterogeneous catalysis in environmental applications. During her doctoral studies (2008-2013), she carried out catalytic VOC oxidation research in close collaboration with industry. In 2015 she did her 6-month postdoctoral period at the University of California, Berkeley. Currently, she is teaching in bachelor and masters’ level courses about catalysis, air pollution control engineering, materials in indoor air pollution, and research and professional ethics. She is supervising three doctoral students in the fields of catalytic hydrogen production, nitrate and sulfate removal from wastewaters and recovery of REE metals in CMP process.

Biohydrogen, an advanced frontier, leverages microbial processes to produce a zero-carbon fuel from biomass, ideal for clean transportation and industry. Together, they offer a powerful, complementary solution for building a diversified and sustainable energy system.
